The Trinity College Data Network (TCD) introduced the TCDconnect program to make it easier for students to use TCD Wi-Fi. To gain access to the Trinity data network through wired or wireless, students can sign up for the TCDconnect program and connect their devices. The TCDconnect service allows you to connect to the network quickly as long as you can check for and satisfy the appropriate software and security criteria. Connecting to the service is a self-service operation.

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi

  3. Connect to the Google Play Services app

  4. Open the Settings app on your phone.

  5. Select Wi-Fi from the list of wireless and network options.

  6. Choose TCDwifi from the wide range of available networks.

  7. Enter your college username jbloggs in the Identity field.

  8. Select “MSCHAPV2” when requested for Phase-2 authentication.

  9. Select “Do not validate” when presented for a CA Certificate.

  10. Consult our webpage on “How to set up the Wi-Fi security certificate on relevant Android phones” if the option to “Do not validate” is not available. Enter your network login password in the Password field and press Save . A short while later, you will see that you are joined to the TCDwifi student network shown under Wi-Fi in the Settings app .
